ESF only customers can Opt-Out so that they are no longer paying; a customer has 10 years ESF contract and the customer has complete paying the appliance requirements of an ESF contract they have an option to opt-out; the majority of the OpCos it is 3 years but for Rwanda the customer has to pay an extra year for ESF before they can opt-out even if they have finished paying for the appliances.

Eligibility

To be eligible to Opt-out an ESF contract, it should be the only active contract for the customer (appliances were completed) and if there are upgrades, they need to be finished before the opt-out option is available.

Contract/Account/CU status

Once a customer is opt-out, their CU should be unlocked (“enabled”), the contract becomes finished” andthe account becomes “inactive” and the ESF contract becomes “opt-out”.

Role/Permission

Admin should have permissions to do Opt-outs.

N.B:

  1. The invoicing side – the contract will be written off similar to cancelling contract.

  2. Reporting contracts to be marked as completed and the account as inactive.
