Creating a Parent Location

This action can be performed by these following roles:
- Retail Area Manager
- Retail Supervisor
- Retail Manager
Go to the Warehouse module
On the sidebar click on Locations tab which sit under Configuration
This will take you to the following screen which shows your company’s parent locations (in blue) and internal locations (in brown)
To create a parent location click in an existing one (preferably one that is in the same region as your new shop).
You can click Create to create the parent location or click Duplicate
Make sure to add the shop name for Location Name and have selected the correct region that the shop belongs to.
The location type needs to be View for the Parent Location
Code please enter a code for the location (this is usually specified by Guillaume)
Stock Location Level indicates the type of location level, you will need to select the stock location level from Country, Zone, Organisation Unit and Location
Click Save
Dependent on your access rights you may need to request from admin to create the parent location on your behalf. Please send request to support or ask you manager to perform this action for you.
