Assign Stock through ERP

Stock can be assigned both through ERP and through Pulse.

This documentation will however take us through how we can assign stock through ERP.

It is recommended to use the assign stock option in Pulse except when you want to bulk assign stock or in some other cases where you might require to use this option.

Some of the noticed cases include;

  • Error message showing that the technician doesn’t have enough stock

  • When for some reason the assign stock option isn’t triggered in pulse

Here are the steps to guide you in the assign stock option in ERP;

  • Go to ERP > Stock Move Tool Module > Assign Stock Technician on your left-hand side > then Create

A window will then open and from here you can choose to either assign stock directly to the customer or to assign free stock to the technician.

Assign stock:

To assign stock directly to the customer, you will select customer assign stock from the form

Select the Technician and the shop will be filled automatically, then click add an item, and a window will open with the list of customers in that shop that needs to be assigned stock and you will select the customer to assign stock to and click select.

After you have selected a customer, the customer will display and his products on the applications and products menus.

Note that you can select more than one customer if they are to be installed by the same technician and if they belong to the same shop.

In the stock move, the stock will automatically be assigned to the technician, then to the customer. This does not require free stock assignment first to be able to go through.

After you have selected all the required customers and the form is filled, you go ahead and click save to proceed. Stock will then be assigned and an action to record installation will be triggered in pulse.

Assign Free stock:

After you have selected the technician, the shop comes automatically.

You then select Free Assign Stock, then go to add product and on the dropdown, select the products from the list that you want to assign to the technician.

If the product that you want is not showing on the list, you can click search more and a window with all the available products will open and you select the products that you want.

When you click on the product, it will be added to the products list and you can edit the quantity. You can also add as many as you want.

Then after you have added all you want, you click save or Assign Stock to Technician

A confirmation message will pop up asking if you are sure you want to assign that stock to that technician

You then click ok if you want to or cancel if it was a mistake.

It will then show you this page showing the stock you have assigned to that Technician and an internal move reference number and other details.

From the reference number, moves can be tracked from there.
