Introduction

This documentation aims to highlight the process of closing a location in Pulse that is no longer operating, rendering it inactive and preventing further use. This is also known as setting a location to an inactive status.

...

Info

There are a few criteria that prevent a location from being closed in Pulse namely:

  • The presence of active Active customers assigned to the locationThe presence of active

  • Active users assigned to the location

  • The existence of assigned Assigned stock at the location

  • The existence of active Active child locations

Locations can only be closed once all customers, stock, and users have been unassigned.

Suppose a user attempts to close a location with any of the above criteria present. In that case, they will receive an error message stating, "This location cannot be closed because of [specific reason(s)]." The specific reason(s) will correspond to the applicable criteria mentioned above.

Once a location is set to inactive, it is no longer available to be assigned to users or customers, nor can it be used as a destination or origin for stock movements.
