ESF only customers can Opt-Out so that they are no longer paying; a customer has 10 years ESF contract and the customer has completed paying the appliance requirements of an ESF contract, they have an option to opt-out; the majority of the OpCos it is 3 years but for Rwanda the customer has to pay an extra year for ESF before they can opt-out even if they have finished paying for the appliances.
Eligibility
To be eligible to Opt-out an ESF contract, it should be the only active contract for the customer (appliances were completed) and if there are upgrades, they need to be finished before the opt-out option is available.
Contract/Account/CU status
Once a customer is opt-out, their CU should be unlocked (“enabled”), the contract becomes “finished” and the account becomes “inactive” and the ESF contract becomes “opt-out”.
Role/Permission
Admin has the permissions to do Opt-outs.
N.B:
On the invoicing side; the contract will be written off similar to cancelling contract.
Contracts are to be marked as “completed” and the account as “inactive”.
