Set Billing Method on Products and Packages
Billing Method Types
What are the Billing Methods types that are available in PULSE 2.0 and how to use them?
Financial Contract (HPA):
When do I use the Contract method? : The contract option is simply the same as the current one, there are no changes to it. It is used for standard customers wanting to pay over X period of time using the normal Bboxx Model.
Subscription:
When do I use the Subscription Method
Is the subscription method available for every product?
How does the pay-back period on subscription products get calculated?
Up-Front:
When do I use the Upfront Method
Is the Up-Front method available for every product?
During a single transaction a user should not be able to select Finance Contract and Subscription when using the product selection; to mean that these two billing method types cannot be allocated at the same time on an account.
With Upfront, it should have a separate account from Finance and subscription.
The general guidance for using the new ability to do Product Configuration as an NGU
Who can do product configuration within an NGU
Who is responsible for performing product configuration and managing the packages and products?
What is stopping an NGU staff from creating as many packages as they want?
How will NGU access to this be restricted?
Subsidies and subsidy-eligible customers within the new billing method process
Are subsidies incorporated into the selection of products available through these new methods of billing?
How are subsidy-eligible customers incorporated into the selection of products available through these new methods of billing?
Adding a Financial Contract (HPA) a billing Method to a Package
This product configuration can only be recorded by an admin role. And once a package is created, a billing method must be added to the package.
Follow these steps to configure a package:
Step 1: You can proceed by adding a billing method to the created package:
Step 2: Search for a package created
e.g. “Handle Bulb Pack” >click on the package> and choose the “Billing Methods” tab:
Step 3: Add product billing method (price) details as follow:
There are some terminologies that have changed compared to those in Pulse 1.0. Find in the below table:
Pulse 1.0 | Pulse 2.0 |
Daily Rate | Credit Price |
Public Price = (daily rate X contract length) + Down payment | Contract Value = (credit price X contract length) + Down payment |
Note: After package creation, you can then create a transaction, the billing method will be selected this way:
Note: Add a package that can have as many as possible billing methods and each can be set as unavailable.
