There are 2 types of assign stock
Free Assign Stock - with no customer involve yet
Free Assign Stock allows Retail Supervisors and Shop Managers to assign For Sale stock to Shop Technicians without a customer. This allows the Technician to hold stock so that they can demonstrate products to sales leads and carry out same-day installations.
Customer Assign Stock - with customer involved.
Assign stock should be done once the customer made a down-payment and the application status moves to "Book installation". Assign stock should be done at the moment the technician leave the shop to update the stock.
Navigate Assign Stock Technician
Go to Stock Move Tool , under Receive/Deliver By Orders > Assign Stock Technician. From this page, All Free stock history of all stock assignments and un-assignments will be listed automatically.
To record Free Assign Stock
After navigating the Assign Stock Technician , click the “create” button to start recording the Free Assign Stock to the Technician.
To record the Free Assign Stock , you need to assign below infos then add the Product by searching it in “Add Product” field . For control units, a serial number is always required.
If you add an incorrect product , just click the trash icon to delete it from the products list .
To record Customer Assign Stock
Customer Assign Stock can also see in Assign Stock Technician module , once you click “Create” you just need to select the Customer Assign Stock.
On the header part of assign stock creation , the process is same with Free assign stock which is assigning the Technician , date and shop manager . The diffirence is that, on the detail part , you just need to add the customer id to populate the list of product needs to assign to the customer.
For control units, a serial number is always required.
Save or Assign stock to Technician button.
You can either Save or directly Assign Stock to Technician the created assign stock.
If you just Save it, the created Assign stock will remain in “draft status” where you can still update input details or remove or add products.
But once you click the “Assign Stock to Technician” button, the assign stock status will be changed to “Stock Assigned” status which will no longer allow you to update input details or products.
